“Moving within these patterns we’re devising are the pathways that allow you to learn movement. For me, doing a movement screen isn’t just making sure you can squat. It’s making sure the pathways of your ankles, hips, knees, spine and shoulders working together in the planes executed in the squat, the pathways of sensation are open, so you can motor learn anything that’s built upon that squat, like a vertical leap, shot-put or volleyball spike.” ~Gray Cook
