Body Image and Exercise – Body Image and Movement – Body Image in Fitness
Body image is a topic most of us have an impression of, but perhaps not a full awareness of the effects of our fitness messaging. Sadie Chanlett-Avery has been teaching movement education, fitness, body image and exercise for a decade, and in this lecture gives an overview of some changes we might want to consider in our messaging.
“If we prioritize practice over performance, we don’t always have to be perfect, but we do have to show up. If we show up to our practice with a commitment to introspection, we’re able to perceive our stories and eventually change them.” ~Sadie Chanlett-Avery
