Exercise Programming for Football – Year Round Weight Training for Athletes – Using the FMS for Football
In Building a Bulletproof Program, strength coach Brian Bott describes his foundation for designing a year-round strength and conditioning program for high school or college athletes. This presentation covers not just how to look at preparing athletes, but also how to formulate programs and how to plan over a year-long or multi-year basis.
“How can we minimize injuries throughout sports? You’re looking at practice. You’re looking at the game situation. You’re looking at hoping guys don’t get injured when they’re training and making sure your best players are on the field when it counts. Only then can we move into the strength, power and conditioning needs. I’m looking for new ideas and injury prevention; then I go to strength and conditioning programming design.” ~Brian Bott

Brian does a tremendous job going over the college program template he follows. As a high school coach I got to take a lot of information out of his presentation. Great job Brian and once again thanks for all your help in this great profession of helping athletes get better.
