Ric Drasin History – Ric Drasin Wrestler – Professional Wrestler Ric Drasin
Not many people can claim the variety of careers that Ric Drasin can: pro wrestler, bodybuilder, artist… now wrestling coach and video producer. In this lecture, Ric tells us how this history developed from his early years in the 1960s as he made his way to the famous bodybuilding scenes of Santa Monica, Venice and Muscle Beach.
“I started powerlifting. I began doing the bench press, squat and deadlift. Someone said, “Why don’t you enter a meet? We’re having a YMCA powerlifting contest.” I said okay and did. I went down to the House of Pancakes that day, loaded up on carbs and got real strong. I came back and won the damn thing. I had no intentions of winning this contest, but I won.” ~Ric Drasin
